The history of a dart board game goes a long way back. It is believed that the game began with soldiers who would challenge each other and throw spears at overturned barrels. Later tree trunks were used that had natural rings on them. Finally it was realized that the target could be taken indoors. Presently the board size, the distance between the board and players dart sizes etc÷ are all standardized.
