Learn How To Make An Elasticated Bracelet

With the step by step photographs, that we"ve included with this project will make it easy to follow and have you jewellery making, in no time at all !

Have fun and happy beading ...

Components Required:

18x 8mm / 10mm round beads

18x Bead Caps

30cm of 0.5mm or 0.8mm Clear Elastic

Tools:

Bead Board

Bulldog Clip (Optional)

Side Cutters

Step 1: Lay the beads in the pattern you want on the bead board, depending upon size required

Step 2: Place a bulldog clip (or similar) to the end of your elastic, to stop the beads falling off, then thread the beads onto the elastic

Step 3: Check the bracelet around your wrist, making sure the beads fit comfortably ̣€¦ Not too tight, as this can overstretch the elastic. Try to make sure the larger holed beads are near to where you will tie the knot, so that this can be hidden inside the bead.

Step 4: Once you are happy with the fit, tie an overhand knot, then finally tie the knot twice, before pulling tight.̉

Step 5: Before cutting the ends, dab a spot of hypo cement (designed specifically for sealing knots in 10 minutes)

Step 6: Cut the excess ends and hide the knot inside the larger hole beads and there you have your finished bracelet !

Try various bead types and sizes for different effects ̣€“ Here are some more elasticated bracelet ideas !
